The most important and prestigious Zen temple of Kyoto, Japan located in Arashiyama district. Registered as a world heritage site by UNESCO, Tenryu-ji temple is the number 1 among the city’s five great zen temples.
The place is breathtaking. Visiting Tenryu-ji allows you to experience the luxury life of a privileged class during Japan’s medieval times.
The garden is famous for the beauty of its maple leaves. Which makes it popular during fall. It’s also a good place to visit on spring. Unfortunately for me, I visited the place during summer. So I’ll definitely go back here this autumn. I swear.
